  • Location: Ice Plex – Morrisville, NY
  • Records: SUNY Canton (12-9-3) | Morrisville State (9-14-0)

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Canton held a slim 8-7 shots edge in the opening period and killed off their lone penalty of the period as the teams headed to first intermission tied at 0-0.
  • Each team committed a pair of penalties in the second period with the Roos holding an 11-5 shots advantage but both goaltenders continued to save everything that came their way.
  • The Roos got on the board at 8:22 of the third period with the skater advantage. After Morrisville was whistled for too many players on the ice, Farabee did what he does best as he converted on the power play. The goal was his 15th of the season, 11 of which have come with the skater advantage. AJ D'Orazio and David Hopfer were credited with assists on the play.
  • The Roos added an insurance goal at 16:28 of the third. Bannister and Sam Martin, who have been complementing each other well on the same line the last few games teamed up for Bannister's seventh goal of the season, five of which have come in the last three games. Martin has three assists in his last three games.
  • Canton was whistled for a slashing penalty with 2:15 remaining in the third period and the Mustangs immediately called timeout. Out of the break they pulled their goalie for the 6-on-4 advantage but Cerasuolo saved two shots and Jake Mayette blocked another to preserve the shutout.
  • Cerasuolo finished with 18 saves on 18 shots in his seventh win and third shutout of the season. Owen Liskiewicz turned aside 26 shots in the loss for Morrisville.
