Club Hockey Team Wins UNYCHL Championship

(Canton, N.Y.)- The SUNY Canton athletic department would like to congratulate the men's club hockey team for winning the 2012-13 Upstate New York Club Hockey League Championship.

The Roos won the title with a hard-fought 5-4 overtime victory against SUNY Geneseo at Roos House on March 2.  Corey Spuck, who is the starting goalie for the SUNY Canton men's lacrosse team, netted his third goal of the game 7:23 into the extra session propelling the team to their first championship.  SUNY Canton's goalie, Fraser Carson, was named the Most Valuable Player after a stellar performance between the pipes.

Along with Spuck, there are several other current and former SUNY Canton athletes are on the team's roster.

Congratulations once again on a fantastic season and a tremendous finish.
