Canton, NY – Sal Diaz, a senior on the baseball team, and
Madelin Marquart, a freshman on the softball team, have been named the final Roos of the Week for the 2025-26 academic year.
Diaz went 4-for-4 with a double, home run, scored four runs and drove in three more to lead the Roos to a 10-8 road win at Plattsburgh in their season finale. The senior finishes his season leading the Roos with a .374 batting average, 37 hits, 11 doubles, seven homers, a .697 slugging percentage, 18 walks and a .496 on-base percentage while ranking second with 23 RBI.
Marquart hit .455 (5-for-11) with a double, two runs and two stolen bases across four games last weekend. In a two-game series against Morrisville on Saturday the rookie combined to go 5-for-7 with a double, two runs and two stolen bases. Marquart finished the season leading the team with a .380 batting average, 30 hits, six doubles, a triple, 17 runs, a .481 slugging percentage and .424 on-base percentage.
