McLaughlin was a key for the men's hockey team as they scored three third period goals to nearly overcome a three-goal deficit in the final frame against Wesleyan University on Sunday. The freshman netted his first career goal 1:39 in on the power play. He then recorded the first assist on J.R. Lafferty's score midway through the period to get the Roos within 4-3 on the scoreboard.

The men's hockey team hits the ice again on Saturday when it continues its road trip with a 4:25 p.m. puck drop against Suffolk University in Boston, MA.
