Szlamczynski shot a round of 3-over par 74 to earn medalist honors out of the 20 player field at the Utica Invitational on Thursday at Yahnundasis Golf Club. He led the Roos to a first place finish out of four teams as they finished with 330 strokes besting the next closest team by 17 strokes. Szlamczynski went out in 2-over par 38 and came home in 1-over par 36. On Sunday the senior captain shot a round of 2-over par 74 to finish in third place out of the 21 player field at the Nazareth Invitational at Stafford Country Club. Szlamczynski went out in 1-under 35 with birdies on the first, second and sixth holes before carding a 3-over 39 on the back nine with another birdie on 15. The Roos won the team title with 308 strokes edging out second place Hobart (313) and third place Nazareth (314). The 308 strokes were just one off the season low for the team.
