Canton, NY – Aiden Bartlett and
Brielle Smith led the SUNY Canton men's and women's cross country teams at the Hoffman Invitational hosted by St. Lawrence on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Bartlett covered the 8-kilometer course in a time of 32:01 to finish in 92nd place out of 119 runners. Justin Escudero was the next Roo across the line in 33:03. Wyatt Beers (33:57), Justin Bormann (36:27) and Calvin Branchaud (50:50) rounded out the top five scoring runners for the Roos.
- Canton finished in eighth place out of the eight-team field (247) just behind Paul Smith's (214).
- Queen's University won the team title with a perfect 15 points ahead of St. Lawrence (64) and Ottawa University (88).
- Queens' Saul Taler won the individual race in 25:31.Â

- Smith paced the Canton women running the 6-kilometer course in 28:26 to finish in 49th place out of 65 runners.
- Nicole Morrow and Summer Foster, who are dual sport athletes on the women's soccer team, crossed the line nearly at the same time in 31:03 in 52nd and 53rd places, respectively. Isabella Bradley (38:33) and Kylie Rivera (38:39) rounded out the Canton scoring runners.
- The Roos finished in fifth place out of five teams with 151 points just behind Clarkson (120).
- Queen's University won the team event with a perfect score of 15 ahead of St. Lawrence (50) and Plattsburgh (79). Queens' Olivia Baggley won the individual race in a time of 22:04.
