Canton, NY – After an impressive second season with the Roos,
Sal Diaz has been named to the D3baseball.com and American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) All-Region Teams.
Diaz earned First Team All-Region honors in Region 3 from D3baseball.com and earned Second Team All-Region recognition in Region 3 from the ABCA, both at the catcher position.

Diaz, a SUNYAC First Team All-Conference selection at catcher, led the Roos with a .374 batting average, 37 hits, 11 doubles, seven homers, a .697 slugging percentage, 18 walks, 69 total bases and a .496 on-base percentage while ranking second with 23 RBI. Diaz ranked first in the SUNYAC at the end of the regular season in homers (7), slugging percentage (.697) and extra-base hits (18). He was also in the top five in doubles (11 – T-2nd) and on-base % (.496 – 5th). Diaz finished the season with eight multi-hit games including a 4-for-5 performance with a homer, double, four runs and three RBI in the season finale win against Plattsburgh (4/27). Defensively he finished the season with 134 putouts and 20 assists in 159 chances for a .969 fielding percentage. Diaz was named to the D3baseball.com National Team of the Week (3/25/26) and SUNYAC Athlete of the Week (3/23/26).

Diaz becomes the fourth player in program history to be named to an All-Region Team. He was named Third Team All-Region by both D3baseball.com and the ABCA after the 2025 season with the Roos. Diaz was also named ABCA Second Team All-Region in both 2022 and 2023 as a member of the Gallaudet University baseball program.
