Canton, NY – Five members of the SUNY Canton women's and men's basketball teams have been named to their respective Academic All-District teams.
The all-district teams, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on their respective playing surfaces and in the classroom.
To be eligible for the honor student-athletes need to be sophomores or older, maintain at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA, have participated in at least 90 % of their team's contests or started 66 % of their team's contests. A max of four members per team are eligible to win the award.

Kat McRobbie-Taru,
Sierra Pabo and
Abigail Rice earned the honor for the women's basketball team, while
Bryon Streb was recognized from the men's basketball team.

Grainger, a junior Criminal Investigation major, recorded a 3.90 cumulative GPA in her two years at Onondaga Community College before registering a perfect 4.0 in her first semester at SUNY Canton. She started 22 of the 23 games she appeared in averaging 10.8 points and 7.7 rebounds per game shooting 33% (31-for-94) from three-point range, while also adding 39 assists and 31 steals.
McRobbie-Taru, a sophomore Physical Therapist Assistant major, carries a cumulative GPA of 4.0 through three semesters at SUNY Canton. A SUNYAC Second Team All-Conference selection, she started all 26 games for the Roos averaging 13.8 points and 6.5 rebounds per game shooting nearly 46% from the field. Her 43 blocks this season broke her own single-season D-III era program record she set last season. McRobbie-Taru's field goal % and free throw % are both the fourth highest of any Roo player in a single season in the D-III era.
Pabo, a junior Nursing major, carries a 3.7 cumulative GPA. A D3hoops.com Second Team All-Region and SUNYAC First Team All-Conference selection, she led the Roos averaging 15.0 points, 4.3 assists and 1.6 steals per game. Pabo ranked third in the SUNYAC in points per game, fourth in assists per game and 19th in steals per outing. The captain scored in double figures in 23 of her 26 games tying a career-high twice with 28 points each in wins at Clarkson (11/11/25) and against Oneonta (1/27/26). She recorded six or more assists in nine different games. After just her junior season Pabo already owns the Roos D-III era program record for career made field goals with 462 and her 111 assists this season were the third most in a single season in the D-III era.
Rice, a junior Health Care Management major, carries a perfect 4.0 cumulative GPA. She started 20 of the 26 games she appeared in averaging 3.6 points and 3.1 rebounds per game adding 24 assists, 17 steals and 16 blocks. During her sophomore season Rice earned the SUNYAC's Elite 20 Award which goes to the student-athlete at each of the SUNYAC's championship final sites with the highest cumulative grade point average.
Streb, a junior Homeland Security major, carries a 3.92 cumulative GPA. He started all 24 games he appeared in averaging 10.2 points and 6.5 rebounds per game while adding 48 assists, 22 steals and 18 blocks.
