Buffalo, NY – Junior Trey Miller stopped 36 shots for his second career shutout and a trio of Roos scored a goal as the SUNY Canton men's hockey team earned a 3-0 victory over the Buffalo State Bengals on Friday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Senior Michael Palandra opened the scoring for the Roos at the 6:36 mark of the first period.  Sophomore Logan Kelly earned the assist.
• Junior Niko Schoner gave Canton a two-goal cushion at 9:50 of the third period with assists to freshman Spencer Sasenbury and senior Scott Cremen.
• Senior Evan Pringle iced the game with less than four minutes remaining, scoring his team-leading 10^th goal.  Kelly and freshman Colton Alexander were credited with the assist.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• The Roos currently sit in sixth place in the SUNYAC, just two points behind Plattsburgh with a game in hand.  The top eight teams earn a berth into the SUNYAC playoffs.
• The top six players in points all earned at least one point in tonight's game.
• Canton was 0/3 on the power play and a perfect 4/4 on the penalty kill.  Going into this game the Roos were tied for eight in the country with a .906 kill rate.
• The Roos had a slight edge at the faceoff dot winning 35 and losing 34.  Pringle led the way with 16 wins.
• Miller made 36 saves while his counterpart Marcus Cumberworth made 28.
