  • However, the Roos then scored eight of the next 10 points highlighted by three kills from Coulter to get to back into it, down just 14-13.
  • Hilbert though, went on an 8-0 run late in the set, ultimately taking set one 25-17.
  • To begin set two, SUNY Canton got four early kills from Coulter and two service aces by Lauren Norman to help them take an early 12-5 lead.
  • The Hawks slowly chipped away at the Roos lead and tied it at 22 towards the end of the set.
  • Cruz immediately got a kill as SUNY Canton regained the lead, but Hilbert scored the final three points of the set to win 25-23.
  • After the two squads split the first 20 points of the third frame, Hilbert went on a run and pulled ahead 22-15.
  • The Roos responded with six straight points, thanks to two services aces by Daycee Bane and a couple attacking errors from the Hawks to get within one.
  • In a similar fashion to the second set, Hilbert scored the last three points in the set to finish the game with a hard-fought 3-0 sweep.

MATCH 2 - BOX SCORE
  • The Roos found themselves down big in set one, trailing 15-5 early to the Panthers.
  • SUNY Canton then went on a 13-5 run with a couple kills from Brooke Hite and were right back in it at down just 20-18.
  • Despite another kill from Hite late, the Roos struggled down the stretch and dropped set one 25-19.
  • The two teams were neck-and-neck to begin set two, with the Roos controlling a 12-11 lead to start the set.
  • A series of runs for each team ensued; the Panthers went on a 6-0 run, then the Roos scored five straight. Pitt-Bradford then rattled off four points in a row and Canton responded with three to make it 21-20 in favor of the Panthers.
  • The Panthers were up 24-22, but an attacking error gave the Roos a chance. However, the Panthers came away with the next point, and the Roos were defeated 25-23 in set number two.
  • The third set remained close, but Pitt-Bradford was leading for the majority of the stanza, eventually opening up a 24-18 lead.
  • Down to their final point, the Roos got some help after five attacking errors and a setting error made the game 24-24.
