Diaz Earns All-Region Honors from ABCA & D3Baseball.com

Canton, NY – After a standout first season with the Roos, Sal Diaz has been named to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and D3baseball.com All-Region Third Teams.

Diaz, the SUNY Canton Athletics department's Co-Male Student-Athlete of the Year and SUNYAC Second Team All-Conference selection, earned Third Team All-Region accolades at catcher in Region 3 from both organizations.
He led the Roos in batting average (.362), hits (34), doubles (10), triples (1), home runs (3), RBI (25), slugging % (.585). He also drew seven walks and owns a team-best .426 on-base %. Diaz had 11 multi-hit games and drove in multiple runs in eight outings.
   
Diaz becomes the third player in program history and the first since 2017 to be named to an All-Region Team. Diaz was also named ABCA Second Team All-Region in both 2022 and 2023 as a member of the Gallaudet University baseball program.
