Maddy Caron combined for eight goals and five assists to lead the SUNY Canton women's lacrosse team to a 15-6 win against Plattsburgh State on Senior Day on Friday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Roos jumped out to an early 4-0 lead behind goals from Dupee, Caron, Lindsey Wunder and Caroline Nappi. Cynthia Barnosky got the visitors on the board with a goal with the player advantage with 4:57 left in the first. The Roos scored two of the final three goals of the quarter from Caron and Sydney Dunn to take a 6-1 lead after 15 minutes of action.
- Canton outscored the Cardinals 4-1 in the second stanza with Caron scoring twice and one each from Olivia McCormick and Dupee. The hosts led 10-3 at intermission.
- The third quarter was a defensive battle with Nappi and McCormick scoring one each as Canton held a commanding 12-3 lead after 45 minutes.
- Caron, Wunder and Dupee added three straight fourth quarter tallies for Canton leading to the 15-6 final.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Dupee led the Roos with three goals and four assists on a season-best seven points. Caron finished with five goals, an assist, a game-high seven draw controls and four caused turnovers, while Wunder added two goals, one assist and six draws.
- McCormick tallied two goals and an assist, Nappi scored twice and Dunn added the other goal. Molly Sweeney chipped in four ground balls and three caused turnovers.
- Rachel LaMar led Plattsburgh with two goals while Ashley O'Hara dished out two assists.
- Olivia Scott had a big game with 10 saves and game-highs of eight ground balls and five caused turnovers in the win.
- Mae Olshansky turned aside 11 shots in defeat.
- The Roos had advantages in shots on goal (26-16), ground balls (28-23) and draw controls (15-10).

The Roos close out the regular season on Wednesday when they visit Cortland at 4 p.m.
