Canton, NY – Lindsey Wunder recorded six points on four goals and two assists, all in a furious fourth quarter comeback by the Roos as they got within three late, but visiting St. Lawrence hung on for a 13-10 win in a non-conference women's lacrosse game on Tuesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Read Roy got the Saints on the board first just over two minutes in. The Roos responded just over 30 seconds later when Olivia McCormick caged her third goal of the season.
- St. Lawrence scored four unanswered, including the last two from Jessica LaPlaca, to take a 5-1 lead after the opening quarter.
- The Saints outscored the Roos 5-0 in the second stanza to take a 10-1 lead into intermission. LaPlaca led St. Lawrence with five points (four goals, one assist) in the opening 30 minutes.
- St. Lawrence edged Canton 2-1 in the third quarter with Maddy Caron scoring her eighth goal of the season for the Roos.
- Canton scored seven straight goals to start the fourth quarter to get within 12-9. Wunder scored four with McCormick, Caron and Caroline Nappi netting the other goals in the run.
- The Roos had a couple more great chances to get within two, but the Saints subbed their starting goalie Zoe Froimovitz back in, who made a couple big saves, to stave off the Canton comeback bid.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Wunder led the Roos with six points on four goals and two assists and added five draw controls, two ground balls and two caused turnovers. Caron chipped in three goals and a game-high eight draw controls to go with two ground balls. With her three points last night she moved into third all-time in the Roos D-III era record books as she now has 236 career points. McCormick added two goals and one assist and Nappi had the other tally. Scarlet Ditoro led Canton with three ground balls.
- LaPlaca paced the Saints with four goals and one assist, while Kelsey Roth and Neve Ley scored three each.
- Froimovitz clocked over 49 minutes of time to earn the win making eight saves and allowing three goals. Keating Gullott turned aside one shot allowing seven goals in relief.
- Olivia Scott took the loss making eight saves allowing 10 goals in the first half, while Laura Falandys stopped two shots surrendering three scores in the second half.
- Most statistical categories were close with St. Lawrence holding the edge in shots (28-25), shots on goal (23-19) and ground balls (28-21). Canton controlled draw controls (18-8). The Roos turned the ball over 28 times and were 15-for-26 on clears, while the Saints turned it over 21 times and were 16-for-23 on clears.Â
