HOW IT HAPPENED
- Visiting Buffalo State jumped out to a quick start scoring five unanswered goals over the first 10 minutes of action with Vanessa Willick caging three straight for the Bengals.
- Lindsey Wunder got the Roos on the board scoring her 100th career goal with 3:25 left in the opening quarter.
- Sage Running Rabbit netted her second goal with three seconds left as Buffalo State led 6-1 after 15 minutes of action.
- Canton doubled up the Bengals 4-2 in the second quarter with four different players finding the back of the net in Ava Dupee, Caroline Nappi, Maddy Caron and Morgan Montgomery. Buffalo State took an 8-5 lead into intermission.
- Neither team was able to find the back of the net over the first eight minutes of the third quarter but Emily Josker broke the streaking scoring with 6:50 left. Scott stopped the initial shot for her 400th career save but Josker picked up the ground ball and scored off her own rebound.
- Montgomery tallied her second goal of the game and seventh of the season scoring with the player advantage off the feed from Caron to get Canton within 9-6 after three quarters.
- Sienna Hillicke scored her third of the season on a sharp-angle shot inside the left post to get the Roos within 9-7 just over four minutes into the fourth quarter.
- Josker caged her third of the game and 28th of the season with 7:38 to play resulting in the 10-7 final.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Caron led the Roos with a goal and two assists, while Montgomery scored twice. Wunder, Dupee, Nappi and Hillicke scored once each with Olivia McCormick picking up an assist.
- Wunder led the Roos with four caused turnovers, while Aayliah White picked up five draw controls, three ground balls and forced three turnovers.
- Scott tied a game-high with five ground balls while making 10 saves in the loss reaching the 400 career milestone. Her 403 career saves are second in program history behind Becca Kieffer's 519.
- Running Rabbit paced the Bengals with three goals and three assists, all in the first half, while Willick and Josker added three goals each. Kira Grzechowiak forced three turnovers and picked up four ground balls for Buffalo State. Brielle Lum stopped nine shots in the win.
- Buffalo State had the edge in shots on goal (20-16), ground balls (27-25) and draw controls (13-7).
