Maddy Caron and
Lindsey Wunder combined for nine goals and four assists for the Roos as they doubled up Manhattanville 18-9 to close out their spring break trip to Florida in the Spring Fling Tournament on Thursday. Eight players in total scored a goal for the Roos as they tallied 15 of the last 20 goals in the contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Roos jumped out to an early 3-1 lead with Wunder finding the nylon twice and Caron scoring as well.
- The Valiants scored three goals over the remaining seven minutes of the first quarter leading by a score of 4-3 after 15 minutes of action.
- Senior Morgan Montgomery and Sophomore Molly Sweeney each found the net to begin the second quarter and the Roos took a 5-4 lead
- After a Manhattanville goal evened the score at 5-5, the Roos scored three straight goals from Caron, Wunder and senior Aayliah White to make it 8-5 midway through the second quarter, a lead the Roos would never lose. Canton led 8-6 at intermission.
- In the third Canton came out swinging outscoring the Valiants 6-1 in the stanza with Caron and freshman Ava Dupee adding two goals and Caron adding a pair of assists. Freshman Olivia McCormick and junior Caroline Nappi also added goals during the run.
- Canton went on to score four of the six goals in the fourth quarter to cruise to the 18-9 win.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Caron led the Roos with seven points on five goals and two assists to go with six draw controls. Wunder added six points on four goals and two assists, while McCormick registered a season-high four points on two goals and two assists.
- Dupee and Nappi registered two goals each, while Montgomery and Sweeney tallied a goal and assist each.
- White led the Roos with four ground balls and three caused turnovers, while sophomore Sydney Dunn added three ground balls and two caused turnovers.
- Kathleen O'Mara led the Valiant attack with three goals, while Ashley Glass added two goals and one assist.
- Laura Falandys earned the win making seven saves on 13 shots in the first half, while Olivia Scott stopped six of the nine shots she faced in the second half.
- Megan McDonald played all 60 minutes in goal for the Valiants making 12 stops in the loss.
