Lindsey Wunder combined for eight goals as the Roos doubled up Fitchburg State 10-5 in the second half of a 13-11 win to kick off their Florida trip on Monday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons jumped out to an early 3-0 lead before Caron broke their scoring streak off a pass from Aayliah White with 4:07 left in the opening quarter.
- Fitchburg State scored two of the next three goals with Morgan Montgomery finding the back of the net for the Roos as Fitchburg State led 5-2 after 15 minutes.
- The second stanza was low scoring with each team finding the back of the net just once as Wunder scored for Canton. The Falcons led 6-3 at intermission.
- Fitchbug State netted two of the first three goals of the second half to open an 8-4 advantage but from there the Roos bounced back.
- Olivia McCormick, Wunder and Caroline Nappi scored three straight goals to get Canton within 8-7. After another Falcon score made it 9-7, Canton scored six of the next seven goals to take control of the game at 13-10 with 4:23 remaining after an Ava Dupee score ultimately earning the two goal win.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Caron led the Roos with five goals and one assists to go with two draw controls, while Wunder added three goals, one assist and one draw control. McCormick scored twice with Dupee, Montgomery and Nappi scoring once each.
- Delaney Ponder led Fitchburg State with six goals, while five other players scored one each.
- Laura Falandys was credited with three saves in the second half earning the win. Olivia Scott played the first half with five saves. Dakin Kovatch took the loss for the Falcons stopping five shots.
