Hope Aniceto combined for 36 points and seven three-pointers to lead the Roos to a 61-40 SUNYAC win against SUNY Potsdam on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Bears roared out to an early 9-0 lead holding Canton scoreless over the first 4:54 of action. Kat McRobbie-Taru broke the scoreless drought hitting a jumper. Potsdam led 13-6 after 10 minutes of action.
- Canton opened the first two plus minutes of the second quarter on an 8-0 run to take their first lead of the game at 14-13. Trailing 15-14 the Roos used an 8-0 run to open a 22-15 advantage. The teams played most of the rest of the half evenly with Canton taking a 31-22 lead into intermission.
- Aniceto led all players with 11 first-half points on 4-for-5 shooting including a 3-for-3 mark from downtown. Bartle chipped in seven points. Barbara Bruno paced Potsdam with 10 points on 5-for-10 shooting.
- The Roos opened the third quarter on a 10-0 run to extend their lead to 41-22 after seven straight points from Bartle. The Bears responded with a 6-0 run, but Canton took a 41-28 lead to the fourth quarter.
- The hosts opened the fourth quarter on a 12-5 run to open a 49-30 advantage as they cruised to the conference win.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Bartle led all players with 19 points, five assists and five steals, while Hope Aniceto tallied 17 points shooting 6-for-8 from the field and a perfect 4-for-4 from beyond the arc. Sierra Pabo chipped in nine points and three assists, while McRobbie-Taru supplied eight points and 12 boards.
- Bruno paced Potsdam with 15 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks, while Jenna Cotter added seven points and five rebounds.
- The Roos shot 37% from the field, 38% from three-point range and 70% from the line, while Potsdam posted marks of 36%, 22% and 22%, respectively.
- Canton committed 14 turnovers while forcing the Bears to cough it up 25 times. The Roos held the upper hand in fast break points (18-6) and points off turnovers (18-9).
