Canton, NY – Freshman
Logan Kelly scored two goals and added two assists and a total of 13 players from the SUNY Canton men's hockey team found the scoresheet in their 9-1 victory over SUNY Morrisville on Friday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Kelly broke the ice at 4:53 of the first period finishing a beautiful tic-tac-toe play with senior Brendan Morrow to give the Roos the 1-0 lead.
- Sophomore Niko Schoner added to Canton's lead at 16:05 of the first, wristing a shot five hole on Mustang goaltender Grant Linville to put the Roos up 2-0.
- The Roos went ahead 4-0 in the first five minutes of the second period on goals by junior Scott Cremen and sophomore Conor O'Brien.
- Zach Nichols scored the Mustangs lone tally at 5:47 of the second but Morrow, freshman Nolan Zotter and Kelly added goals as well to make the score 7-1 heading into the second intermission.
- Senior Colton Sipperley and junior Jordyn Mughal each added goals midway through the third period to make it a 9-1 final.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Kelly's two goals give him five on the season, good enough to tie for third in team scoring. O'Brien's goal was his first of the season.
- Cremen and Schoner each scored a goal and added two assists. O'Brien, Morrow, Zotter as well as sophomores Jordan Prepszl and Cory Liu each finished the night with two points.
- The Roos power play was on fire, going 3/3 while the penalty kill was 4/4.
- Canton had a 41-24 edge at the faceoff dot.
- Junior Nate Hopkins made 15 saves through two periods, while sophomore Trey Miller was perfect with eight saves in the third frame. Linville made 20 saves for the Mustangs before teammate Jeff Dreger spelled him midway through the second and made 15 saves.
