Morrisville, NY – Sophomore
Logan Kelly scored two goals, including the game winner, to help the SUNY Canton men's hockey team to a big 5-2 SUNYAC win over SUNY Morrisville on Friday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Roos opened the scoring at 5:51 of the first period when senior Evan Pringle buried a cross cease feed from freshman Spencer Sasenbury to give Canton the early 1-0 lead.
- Kelly put Canton up 2-0 at the 10:37 mark, skating in alone and beating Mustang goalkeeper Chad Lowe glove side high. Kelly's goal was assisted by Sasenbury and senior Michael Palandra.
- The Roos scored a power play goal to take a 3-0 lead early in the second with Kelly blasting a slap shot top shelf. Assists came from Scott Cremen and junior Niko Schoner.
- Morrisville answered back in the third with back-to-back goals from Tanner Dietz at the 5:43 and 7:55 mark.
- The Roos would bend but not break, answering the Mustang goals. First was junior Jackson Drysdale, who picked up a chip pass from sophomore Brayden Fryfogle, skated into the zone and deposited the puck in the back of the net to extend the Roos lead to 4-2.
- Next is was junior Cory Liu, who banged away at a loose puck and finally got it past Lowe for the 5-2 final score. Liu's goal was assisted by senior Jack Seamans and Pringle.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Drysdale continues his hot streak, picking up a goal in consecutive games.
- Pringles goal and assist now tie him for the lead in points with Schoner with each credited with 11.
- Junior Trey Miller made 21 saves in recording the win and also was credited with an assist on Drysdale's goal.
- The Roos were 1/3 on the power play while Morrisville was 0-8.
- Canton was dominant on the draw winning 47-77. Sasenbury had 20 wins to lead the Roos.
