Reilly McKinnon scored the game winning goal as the SUNY Canton men's hockey team beat SUNY Plattsburgh in a key SUNYAC matchup.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a scoreless first period, McKinnon received a pass from senior Brendan Morrow in the high slot and buried a shot past Cardinal goaltender Jacob Hearne to give the Roos a 1-0 lead at 6:15 of the second period. Junior Jack Seamans earned the secondary assist.
- Sophomore Jackson Drysdale scored a short-handed goal at 11:19 of the second to give Canton a 2-0 lead. Freshmen Brayden Fryfogle and Jake Howard both assisted on the play.
- Hopkins closed things out in the third making nine saves and earning his second shut out of the season.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Drysdale and sophomore Niko Schoner each recorded five shots to the lead the team.
- McKinnon's goal was his fourth of the season and Drysdale's was his third.
- Both teams were 0/2 on the power play.
- Canton won the battle at the faceoff dot 39-25 with Morrow leading the team, going 12-16.
- Hopkins finished with 23 saves while Hearne made 24 stops.
