HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a scoreless first two periods, O'Keefe lit the lamp for the Roos, as she stole the puck along the boards, skated in alone and beat Bears goaltender Hannah Barrett glove-side high. The goal was unassisted and gave Canton a 1-0 lead.
- Potsdam tied the game at 8:26 of the period when Lenihan made the initial save off a backhand shot from Elise Clifford only to have the Bears Kaylee Merrill tuck home the rebound. Jessika Bullock also assisted on the play.
- After trading chances later in the third it was Potsdam that capitalized as Rylee Garrow tapped home a rebound to give the Bears the 2-1 lead at 16:07 of the third. Rachelle and Rebecca Cain earned the assists on the goal.
- With Lenihan pulled and less than a minute to play, the Roos put significant pressure on Barrett with freshman Ally Bickford snapping off two consecutive shots as the final seconds ticked off the clock, but Barrett made both saves to preserve the victory.
