HOW IT HAPPENED

- Nelson and Hennessy added second period goals to extend the Wildcats lead to 4-0.
- After a Wildcat penalty late in the third period, Miller was pulled in favor of the extra attacker, but Evan Gravel was able to clear the zone and potted the empty net goal to give Johnson & Wales the 5-0 lead.
- Less than a minute later, junior Scott Cremen scored a power play goal for the Roos to cut the lead to four.
- Sophomore Niko Schoner scored two more goals for the Roos, including his last on the power play, but time ran out before Canton could complete the comeback, losing the game 5-3.
