HOW IT HAPPENED
  • After a scoreless first period, freshman Brayden Fryfogle broke the ice, stealing a clearing pass, skating in to the top of the circle and snapping a shot past screened goaltender Will Goumas.
  • The Mustangs tied the game at 1-1 with less than a minute to play in the second period.  Maxim Maziarchuk won a faceoff forward and passed the puck to Ryan Glazer who banged home his second of the season.
  • Tyler Zembryzycki put Morrisville up 2-1, tipping home a Maziarchuk shot past Roos goaltender Nate Hopkins.
  • A Myles Douglas goal extended the Mustangs lead to 3-1 at 12:28 of the third period.
  • At the 16:12 mark Coach Boak pulled Hopkins for the extra attacker and after successive icing calls the Roos had a faceoff in Mustang territory.  Senior Brendan Morrow won the draw and headed to the near post where he received a Fryfogle feed from behind the net and buried the puck to make the score 3-2.
  • After winning the ensuing faceoff, Canton again pulled Hopkins for the extra attacker.  The Roos maintained control of the puck in the Mustang zone and at 19:30 Reilly McKinnon one-timed a shot from the point past Goumas to tie the game 3-3.  Riding momentum from their previous two goals, the Roos headed to overtime
  • Canton finished the comeback four minutes into the extra period as Drysdale beat Goumas glove side to win the game.  Drysdale's goal was assisted by sophomore Jordan Prepszl and goaltender Hopkins.
