HOW IT HAPPENED
  • After a delay to the start of the game due to a Zamboni malfunction, it was the Bears who struck first at 6:56 of the opening period when Michael Campbell found Jack Loran with a pass from the left point to the right post as he finished into the open net. Jakub Hall was also credited with an assist on the play. Potsdam held a slim 10-9 shots on goal advantage taking a 1-0 lead to first intermission.
  • Canton leveled the score at 1-1 at the 5:00 mark of the middle period. Brendan Morrow won a draw at the left circle to Brayden Fryfogle who played a quick pass back to Zotter at the left circle who fired a one-timer into the right corner of net.
  • Hall scored the eventual game-winner for the Bears at 17:46 of the third off passes from Loran and Mason Hoehn. Trailing by one Canton pulled Kelson Hooper for the extra attacker with 39 seconds remaining but Loran scored an empty-netter for the 3-1 win.
