- In the second set, the Roos again held an early lead, this time 7-3, on a Balcom kill. Canton continued to hold the Bengals off on a kill by junior Sammie Frank, making the score 13-9. The Roos would maintain an advantage until a Bengal run tied the set at 21-21 on a Karlie Shaffer kill. The teams would trade points until consecutive kills by Coulter and Balcom closed out the set with the Roos winning 25-23.
- Both teams traded leads through the first half of the third set with neither team leading by more than two points until the Bengals took a 13-10 lead on a Samantha Coakley ace. From there, Buffalo State would continue to expand their advantage eventually taking the set 25-15.
- In the final set, the Bengals scored the first 11 points and led 17-2 before a Balcom kill and an ace by Brooke Hite slowed their momentum. Six-straight points by the Roos closed the gap to 19-10, but the early lead was too much for Canton to over come and Buffalo State won the set 25-14 and the match 4-1.
