HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the first set, the Roos went up 3-2 early on a kill by Brooke Hite. The Red Dragons rallied to take a 17-7 lead midway through the set. Another Hite kill and ace by Sarah Balcom had Canton within eight (17-9) but the Roos could get no closer and dropped the set 25-15.
- The second set would prove to be much closer with Canton sprinting out to a 7-1 lead, capped by a Sammie Frank kill. Anna Moller would tip the scales back in the favor of Oneonta with a kill to put her team on top 11-10. Trailing 17-12 later in the set, the Roos pushed back, closing the gap to two (21-19) on a kill by junior  Alexas Marshall. But the Red Dragons would once again close out the set 25-20.
- The third set was a back-and-forth affair with the Roos up 5-2 early on a Balcom kill. Oneonta chipped away at the lead and tied it briefly at 11-11. Another Roo run saw the team lead 17-13 on another Balcom kill before the Red Dragons had a run of their own, taking a 20-19 lead on a Colleen McCabe kill. Canton would edge ahead 22-21 on a Bria Hunter kill but Oneonta scored four of the last five points to win the set 25-23.
