Bria Hunter combined for 23 kills, while
Sammie Frank dished out 30 assists as the Roos dropped a 3-0 (25-20, 25-22, 26-24) SUNYAC match to visiting SUNY Potsdam on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Roos jumped out to an early 7-5 lead in the opening set and held a 16-15 advantage after an Marshall kill. Canton still led 19-18 after a Hunter kill but the Bears scored seven of the final eight points to take the opening set 25-20.
- The Bears roared out to a 7-2 lead in the second stanza. The hosts tallied four consecutive points culminating with a Frank kill that knotted the frame at 11 apiece. Canton led 18-17 after a Hunter kill but four straight points gave Potsdam a 21-18 lead. The Roos knotted things at 22 apiece after a Marshall kill but the Bears closed out the set with three straight points taking the set 25-22 after a Sophia Layer ace.
- Canton led 15-14 midway through the third set and opened a 24-22 advantage after kills from Marshall and Hunter and an ace from Frank. The Bears stormed back with four straight points to complete the sweep 26-24.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Marshall led the Roos with 13 kills, while Hunter added 10 kills. Brooke Hite chipped in seven kills and Sarah Balcom and Frank supplied six each. Frank dished out 30 assists to go with five digs and three aces, while Balcom added eight digs.
- Alyssa Adams paced the Bears with 14 kills and six digs, while Megan Henry tallied 13 kills and seven digs. Emily Prest chipped in eight kills and eight digs, while Layer dished out 35 assists.
- The Bears hit .301 on 103 attack attempts (46-15-103), while the Roos hit at a .257 clip on 105 swings (42-15-105).
