HOW IT HAPPENED
- Senior Nic Herringer buried a Pringle pass just outside the crease at 18:22 of the first period to give the Roos the 1-0 lead. Junior Colton Sipperley also assisted on the play.
- Freshman Jackson Drysdale put the Roos up 2-0 at 6:11 of the second, taking a cross-crease pass from sophomore Jack Seamans and depositing it past Eagles goaltender Trevor Joule.
- Micheal Meredith and Josh Grund scored back-to-back goals midway through the period for Brockport to tie the game, 2-2.
- Prepszl reclaimed the lead for the Roos with just two seconds remaining in the period. A pretty passing play started with Pringle gaining the zone and pushing the puck to freshman Niko Schoner who placed a drop pass to Prepszl for a 3-2 Roos lead.
- Sipperley took a pass in the slot and buried a shot just 38 seconds into the third period to give Canton a two-goal cushion. His goal was assisted by Pringle and Herringer.
- That lead would hold until late in the third when a Matt Anaastasio power-play goal with the extra attacker cut the lead to 4-3, and Chase Maxwell tied the game at four with Joule on the bench for the extra attacker once again. The tying goal was scored with just 12 seconds remaining.
- In the extra period, the Roos were able to kill a minor penalty and after both teams traded chances late, the game ended in a 4-4 tie.
