Morgan Montgomery scored a career-high four times as the SUNY Canton women's lacrosse team cruised to a 19-9 road win at SUNY Potsdam on Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
- The Roos jumped out to an early 2-0 lead behind goals from Caroline Nappi and Dayter as Canton led 4-2 after the opening quarter.
- The Bears cut the deficit to 8-7 after intermission outscoring the Roos 5-4 in the second quarter.
- SUNY Canton controlled the second half outscoring Potsdam 11-2 after intermission including 7-1 in the fourth quarter.

INSIDE THE NUMBERSÂ
- This is just the second ever win for the Roos v. the Bears as Canton also defeated Potsdam 12-5 on April 13, 2018.
- Dayter led all players with 16 points, eight goals and eight assists, while adding six draw controls. Dayter initially broke the single-game program record for points with 14 last season and this is the second time in as many games she has set a new program mark. Â
- Montgomery doubled her previous career-high with four goals and added an assist. Maddy Caron scored three times and added a game-high 11 draw controls. Nappi scored twice, Lindsey Wunder had a goal and assist and Ava Reynolds also scored.
- Olivia Scott made 12 saves in the win and picked up a game-high six ground balls. Olivia Minarich made four saves allowing eight goals in the first half, while Jane Olszewski stopped two shots and allowed 11 goals in the second half.
- Anita Reitano led the Bears with three goals and two assists, while Mallory Marks scored three times.
- The Roos held a slim 25-21 edge in shots on goal and had the upper hand in draw controls (20-12).
