Aaron D'Agnese all had multi-hit games as the Roos battled back with five runs over the final two innings in the nightcap, but dropped a doubleheader at visiting SUNY Oneonta by scores of 7-2 and 6-5 on Tuesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED

GAME 1 – BOX SCORE
- The Roos took a 2-1 lead after two innings of play in the opener. With two outs in the first Dylan Allen reached on an error scoring Nick Shoemaker. Edilberto Rosado started a two out rally in the second with a single, advanced to second on a failed pickoff attempt and scored on a Shoemaker RBI single.
- The Red Dragons scored once in the first and two each in the third, fifth and sixth innings to earn a 7-2 win.
- Shoemaker and Rosado both went 2-for-3 for the Roos, while Alphonse Fuca had the other hit.
- Josh Gilkey, Alex Wurster, Jake Barrett and Anthony Foglia all had multi-hit outings with Barrett and Foglia driving in two runs each for the hosts.
- Martin Thorsland earned the win for Oneonta tossing four innings allowing two unearned runs with seven strike outs and a pair of walks. Derek Shea earned the save with three innings of scoreless ball with five strike outs.
- Kieran Gibson took the loss for the Roos scattering five earned runs over 5.1 innings with two strike outs.

GAME 2 – BOX SCORE
- Oneonta jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead in the nightcap with two runs in the first inning and one in the second. The Red Dragons made it 4-0 bringing across another run in the fifth.
- The Roos battled back with a big four-run sixth inning. With one out Derek Maldonado singled up the middle, Mike Henry reached on an error and Aaron D'Agnese singled to center. Brendan Finnegan reached on a fielder's choice scoring Maldonado and Shoemaker walked as Henry scored on a wild pitch. Anthony Bocchino was hit which loaded the bases and Nathan Welch reached on the second Oneonta error of the inning as Finnegan scored with two outs.
- Canton took its first lead of the game with a run in the top of the seventh. Fuca drew a leadoff walk and moved over to second on a passed ball and third on a ground out. After a Henry walk D'Agnese singled home Fuca.
- Needing a run to tie and two to win Oneonta led off the bottom of the inning with a triple and an RBI single. Canton was able to get a foul out before another single had the winning run in scoring position. That run would ultimately score on a walk-off passed ball and error.
- D'Agnese led the Roos with two hits and an RBI while Bocchino, Welch, Fuca, Maldonado and Henry had one hit each.
- Bradley Turner paced the Oneonta bats with three runs and three RBI, while Gilkey and Nate Guillen provided two hits apiece.
- Logan Carriero picked up his first win of the season tossing one inning in relief giving up one run with a strike out and two walks.
- Kayden Guerin took the loss for the Roos surrendering two runs with two walks in 2.1 innings.
