Michael Newcomb recorded four goals and three assists each as 15 different players tallied a point in a 24-4 win v. Wells College on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Roos dominated play in the opening quarter outscoring the Express 10-0 over the opening 15 minutes. Jacobs had three goals in the quarter.
- Canton extended its lead to 13-0 with three more tallies early in the second stanza. Wells got on the board with back-to-back scores from Jacob Stine. The hosts led 14-2 at intermission.
- The Roos outscored Wells 7-0 in the third quarter cruising to the 24-4 victory.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Jacobs and Newcomb led the Roos with four goals and three assists each, while Austin Mesler posted three goals and three assists. Caeden Goodnough added two goals and three assists, while Logan McCargar finished with two goals and an assist. Kyle Fingar chipped in three assists and Noel Abreu added two and went 12-for-14 on faceoffs.
- Tanner Amell scored twice, while Charles Grandaw, Rilee St. Croix and Rory McCabe finished with a goal and assist each. Alec Gorman, Devin Guerriero, Jake Erskine and Carter Moore scored once each. Erskine finished 10-for-14 on faceoffs and Guerriero was 3-for-4.
- Abreu and Erskine picked up eight ground balls each, while Holden Hewlett had six and St. Croix, McCabe and Gorman had five each. Jacobs led the team defensively causing three turnovers.Â
- Stine scored three times for Wells while Dakota Swamp had the other goal for the Express.
- Sam Servati made four saves without allowing a goal in the first quarter to earn the win. Hayden Todd made three saves on five shots in the second quarter, while Nick Snyder turned aside six of the eight shots he faced in the second half. Isaac Craft made 16 saves in the loss for Wells.
- The Roos dominated shots on goal (40-17), ground balls (76-19), and faceoffs (25-7). Canton was near perfect clearing the ball going 20-for-21, while Wells was 13-for-32. The Roos were 2-for-5 in man-up situations, while the visitors were 0-for-1.
