Saratoga Springs, NY – Freshman Bobby Voss scored his first career goal for the SUNY Canton men's hockey team, but the Roos dropped an 11-1 decision at Skidmore College on Saturday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• Jacob Franczak and Ryan Waltman each tallied first-period goals for the Thoroughbreds.
• Franczak added two more in the second, along with goals from Jaden York, Zach Lindewirth and Kaeden Patrick.
• Waltman added two more in the third in addition to goals from Everette Wardle and a second goal by York.
• Voss scored his goal with 2:17 remaining, crashing the goal and directing his own rebound past Skidmore goaltender Blaine Moore.  Trystan Mughal earned the assist.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• The Thoroughbreds outshot the Roos 44-25 and won the battle at the faceoff dot 43-24.
• Canton was 0/2 on the power play and Skidmore was 1/5.
• Sophomore Nate Hopkins made 13 saves while freshman Trey Miller made 20 in relief.  Tate Brandon and Moore combined for 24 saves for the Thoroughbreds.
