Joie Culkin earned her second North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season, as announced by the league office on Monday.
Culkin averaged 11.7 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.7 steals, 2.0 assists and 1.3 blocks per game leading the Roos to a 2-1 week. She opened the week with eight points, five rebounds, a steal and a block in a 74-54 loss to St. Lawrence (5-2) on Monday. The senior followed that up with 11 points, six rebounds and three assists in a 63-31 road NAC win at NVU-Lyndon on Friday. Culkin closed out the week with a team-high 16 points to go with game-highs of 13 rebounds, seven steals and three blocks while adding three assists in a 67-57 NAC win at Maine Farmington on Saturday. She also earned NAC Defensive Player of the Week accolades on December 12th.
