Johnson, VT – Six players scored eight or more points as the SUNY Canton men's basketball team overcame a 15-point halftime deficit to an earn an 85-82 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) road win at NVU-Johnson on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Roos led 11-7 early but Johnson used an 11-0 run to open an 18-11 advantage. Canton bounced back with a 13-3 run to regain the lead at 24-21 midway through the half.
- The hosts closed the half on a 17-3 run to take a 47-32 lead into intermission.
- The Badgers extended their lead to as many as 17 (65-48) just over eight minutes into the second half. The Roos used a 9-0 run to cut the lead in half three minutes later.
- Johnson took the lead to double digits again with a 12-point advantage with 6:53 to play.
- Canton used an 19-5 run over the next five minutes to take a 76-74 lead with 2:02 remaining after an old-fashioned three-point play from Terrence Fields.
- The teams exchanged the lead down the stretch with Fields and Quran DuBois combining to score Canton's final 12 points to earn the win. DuBois made a pair of free throws with 13 seconds left to extend the lead to three and a last second three to tie it for Johnson at the buzzer was off the mark. Â

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- DuBois led the Roos with 25 points and three steals, while DeMerrill Levy posted 17 points and six rebounds. Fields and Brennan Harmer supplied 12 points each, while Juztin Chambers-Phillips and Zach Denesha tallied nine and eight points, respectively.
- Jeskin Walker Williams paced all players with 27 points and added nine rebounds and five steals. Raymond Baka posted a double-double of 10 points and 12 rebounds and Samuel Stephens (14) and Malik Moore (10) also posted double figure points.
- Johnson shot nearly 56% from the field and 40% from three, while Canton registered marks of nearly 46% and 44%, respectively.
- The Badgers held the edge in rebounds (37-26), points in the paint (36-24) and second chance points (10-4). The Roos had the upper hand in fast break points (16-2) and points off turnovers (26-17).
