Canton, NY – Alexandria Mikula and Jordan Knapp were both perfect at the plate reaching base twice each, but Marissa Wheeler tossed a three-hitter as SUNY Cobleskill earned an 11-0 run-rule win in five innings on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Tigers scored at least two runs in every inning besides the third as their bats exploded for 16 hits in a five-inning victory.
• Cobleskill struck for three runs in the first that included a home runs from Alexis Miranda and Jillian Nitchman.
• They added two more runs in the second on a pair of RBI singles and tacked on two more on a pair of sacrifice flies in the fourth. The Tigers closed things out with four runs in the fifth including a three-run homer from Maya Davies.

 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Knapp led the Roos going 2-for-2, while Mikula was 1-for-1 with a walk.
• Those were the only hits for Canton as Wheeler threw a three-hitter with four strike outs and two walks in five innings for Cobleskill.
• Davies led the Tiger bats with 4 RBI, while Ashley Covert was 3-for-4 with 2 RBI. Miranda also had three hits for the visitors.
