Samantha Dayter supplied three goals and two assists each to lead the SUNY Canton women's lacrosse team to a dominating 19-1 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) win v. NVU-Lyndon on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Roos jumped out to an early 3-0 lead before NVU-Lyndon got on the board with 3:42 left in the opening quarter. SUNY Canton extended its lead to 8-1 after the opening quarter and took a 10-1 lead into intermission.
- Maddy Caron, Pelton, Scarlet Ditoro, Dayter, Stephanie Thayer, Lindsey Wunder and Erin Grandaw all had first half goals for the hosts.
- SUNY Canton rotated its players throughout the roster and outscored the Hornets 9-0 in the second half on its way to the convincing win.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Pelton and Dayter led the way with three goals and two assists each, while Dayter picked up a game-high 11 draw controls. Thayer chipped in a goal and game-best four assists, while Caron tallied three goals, one assists and a game-high eight ground balls.
- Wunder finished with a hat trick and added four ground balls and four draws, while Karlie McCarthy scored twice and Morgan Montgomery dished out a pair of assists. Ditoro, Grandaw, Hannah Reed and Aayliah White also scored for Canton. Wunder, Montgomery, Ditoro and Reegan Sheehy all caused two turnovers each.
- Rachel Palladino scored the lone goal for the Hornets on a free-position goal.
- Olivia Scott made one save in the first half earning her first collegiate win. Madison Leary and Erin Anderson played the third and fourth quarter, respectively, as neither goalie faced a shot.
- Paige Daley made 16 saves for NVU-Lyndon.
- The Roos held the upper hand in shots on goal (35-2), ground balls (25-11), draw controls (20-3) and clears (10-for-12 v. 7-for-28).
- The one goal given up is the fewest surrendered by the Roos since they won 17-0 v. Thomas College on March 16, 2019.
