Canton, NY – Senior 
Hunter Olsen had a monster game posting 11 points on his way to setting the SUNY Canton men's lacrosse D-III era program record for career points as the Roos earned a 23-4 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) win v. NVU-Lyndon on Saturday.
Olsen now has 157 career points on 83 goals and 74 assists breaking the previous mark of former All-American Josh Yelvington '19 who had 156 career points on 118 goals and 38 assists.

HOW IT HAPPENED
	- The SUNY Canton offense got off to a dominating start scoring seven goals off the sticks of six different players in the first five minutes of the game. Austin Mesler, Zack LaFave, Noah Robinson, Kyle Fingar, Olsen and Alex Jacobs all scored during the quick start. The Roos took a commanding 10-0 lead after 15 minutes of play.
- Canton scored the first goal of the second quarter before the Hornets got on the board with a pair of goals 40 seconds apart. The Roos rattled off three straight to lead 14-2 at intermission.
- The Roos continued to control play in the second half outscoring Lyndon 9-2 including a 4-0 mark in the fourth quarter.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
	- Olsen led all players in goals (5), assists (6), points (11) and caused turnovers (3). Robinson totaled a season-high six points on two goals and four assists and Mesler added three goals and two assists.
- Fingar recorded his first hat trick of the season and Jacobs and LaFave tallied two goals and an assist each. Logan McCargar and Caeden Goodnough finished with a goal and assist each, while combining for 11 ground balls. Rory McCabe dished out a pair of assists and Chris McCann, Tanner Amell, Carter Pooler and Jake Erskine all scored for the Roos.
- Canton was dominate in the X as Noel Abreu went 12-for-15 on draws, while Erskine was 11-for-14.
- Sam Servati made three saves over the first three quarters in the win, while Trent Dow turned aside three shots without allowing a goal in relief.
- Benjamin Cheever paced Lyndon with two goals, while Aaron Florence made 10 stops for the Hornets.
- SUNY Canton controlled shots on goal (33-10), ground balls (40-21) and face offs (23-6).
 
WHAT'S NEXT?
The Roos are back in action next Saturday when they visit Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in NAC play at 3:30 p.m.
