Noel Abreu won a game-best 12 face offs, but host SUNY Potsdam scored 17 unanswered first half goals to earn a 24-10 win v. the SUNY Canton men's lacrosse team on Tuesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Austin Mesler gave the Roos an early lead on an unassisted goal just 13 seconds into the game.
- From there it was all Bears as they scored 17 straight goals to take a 17-1 lead into intermission. Potsdam led 12-1 after the first quarter.
- The Roos outscored the Bears 9-7 after halftime including 8-3 in the third quarter.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Alex Jacobs led the Roos with four goals, while Mesler totaled three goals, one assist and four ground balls. Caeden Goodnough tallied a team-best three assists, Trent Dow scored twice and Kyle Fingar added a goal and assist. Noah Robinson chipped in a pair of assist and Hunter Olsen added one.
- Abreu went 12-for-18 on face offs and picked up a team-best seven ground balls. Jake Erskine and Sam Servati supplied six ground balls each, while Servati made 19 saves in net.
- Cobie Cree led the Bears with four goals and an assist, while Owen Walsh dished out a game-best four assists to go with a goal. Alex Burley registered four goals for Potsdam.
- Ben Fuchs earned the win making one save and allowing one goal over the first 17 minutes for the hosts. Nate Prelewicz, Collin Dougherty and Liam O'Neil all saw time between the pipes in relief.
- Potsdam held advantages in shots on goal (43-23), turnovers (17-33) and ground balls (54-44). Face offs were even at 19 apiece.

The Roos are back in action on Saturday, April 2nd when they host NVU-Lyndon at 3:30 p.m.
