Canton, NY – Samantha Dayter scored twice but visiting Clarkson, who is receiving votes in the latest Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Association Top 25 poll, started the game with nine straight goals on its way to a 17-3 victory on Thursday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Clarkson jumped out to a quick lead just nine seconds in and outscored the Roos 6-0 in the opening quarter. Grace Hagberg had four first quarter goals for the Knights.
- Hagberg added a fifth goal early in the second quarter and back-to-back tallies from Madelynn Barnum extended the Knight lead to 9-0 two minutes into the second stanza.
- Dayter got the Roos on the board 2:35 into the second on an unassisted goal. Clarkson added three more goals taking a 12-1 lead into half.
- Play was much more even in the second half with the Knights outscoring the Roos, 5-2.
- Dayter scored her second of the game and 21st of the season to start the third quarter but three consecutive goals gave the visitors a 15-2 lead after three.
- Stephanie Thayer put home her fifth goal of the season off a feed from behind goal from EllaRose LeMay early in the fourth quarter before Clarkson conluded with a pair of goals from Julia Patterson.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Dayter led the Roos with two goals and three draw controls. Maddy Caron tied a game-high with three caused turnovers to go with three ground balls and two draw controls.
- Lindsey Wunder tied a game-best with four ground balls and a pair of draw controls, while Emily Vogt also registered two draws.
- Hagberg and Barnum paced the Knights attack with six goals each, while Mia Petrone finished with two goals and three assists.
- Madison Leary turned aside eight shots in the loss for the Roos. Sydney Christiansen made one save in the win, while Laura Wing turned aside four shots over the final 20 minutes.
- Clarkson held the edge in shots on goal (25-8), ground balls (23-17) and draw controls (15-9).
