Andrew Fitch set the SUNY Canton NCAA D-III era rebounding program record and the SUNY Canton men's basketball team used a balanced team effort to earn a convincing 82-57 win v. Maine Fort Kent on Thursday evening.
Eleven different players scored and 17 players saw at least five minutes of action for the Roos.
Fitch, who now has 803 career rebounds, broke the mark of Romario Fletcher '17 (800). The senior big man also recently jumped into the top 10 in all-time NCAA Division III career blocks and currently ranks ninth with 356.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Play was back-and-forth early with the Bengals holding a two point lead five minutes in. The Roos used an 10-0 run to turn a 9-7 deficit into a 17-9 lead.
- Canton closed the final 7:08 of the first half on a 17-5 spurt to take a commanding 42-21 lead into intermission.
- The Roos shot over 51% from the field and hit on 40% of their three-pointers in the opening half as DeMerrill Levy posted all 16 of his points in the first half playing just 11 minutes.
- Maine Fort Kent never got closer than 21 in the second half as the Roos cruised to victory with numerous players contributing to the team's success.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Quran DuBois led all players with 20 points shooting 8-for-12 from the field and 4-for-6 from three-point range in just 17 minutes. Levy was outstanding scoring all of his 16 points in the first half hitting on four of his five treys and six of his seven shots from the field.
- Peyton Olsen chipped in nine points and Juztin Chambers-Phillips added eight. Michael Nunnally, who scored his first collegiate points in the game, finished with seven points shooting a perfect 3-for-3 off the bench in eight minutes.
- The Roos had eight players with multiple assists, while Larson pulled down a team-best eight rebounds.
- Brandon Ruaro led the Bengals with 16 points, while Daniel Franz added 12.
- Canton shot 47% from the field and held UMFK to 30% shooting.
- The Roos held the upper hand in rebounds (46-37), bench points (45-15) and points in the paint (32-18).

The men's basketball team is back in action on Saturday when they visit NVU-Johnson at 2 p.m.
