Northborough, MA – Dylan Allen went 2-for-4 and drove in all four SUNY Canton runs in the opener, but the Roos dropped three games to open their season on the road at Fisher College at the New England Baseball Complex on Sunday.

HOW IT HAPPENED

GAME 1 – BOX SCORE
- Fisher scored three runs in the first inning of the opener and led 7-0 after three innings. The Roos scored their first run of the 2022 season in the fourth when Allen singled home Don Louis Rodriguez on a base hit through the left side.
- The Falcons added a run of their own in the fourth, three in the fifth and five in the sixth to open a 16-1 lead after six full frames.
- Canton tacked on three runs in one swing in the top half of the seventh when Allen produced a 3 RBI double down the left field line to score Nathan Welch, Chris Thew and Jesus Garcia.
- Allen, Zach Miner and Noah Reyes all had two hit outings with Allen driving in all four runs for the Roos.
- Cameron Pearson went 4-for-5 for Fisher, while Jacob Deziel, Ivanuel Hernandez and Miguel Torres had two hits apiece combining to drive in nine runs. Â
- Kieran Gibson took the loss for the Roos allowing seven runs with a walk and strike out over three innings.
- Christian Dow picked up the win for Fisher throwing five innings allowing one unearned run with seven strike outs.

GAME 2 – BOX SCORE
- The Falcon bats continued to stay hot in the second of three games as they combined for 13 runs over the first two innings. Fisher added a run in the fourth before Canton got two back in the fifth.
- Nick Shoemaker led off the inning with a double to right center and moved over to third on a groundout. Thew singled up the middle to score Shoemaker. After a Ty Reed walk Riley Manso, who pitch ran for Thew, scored on a Zach Miner RBI double.
- Fisher added eight runs in the bottom of the inning for the 22-2 final.
- Jackson Troiano took the loss for the Roos giving up 13 runs with a strike out and three walks over the first two innings.
- Angel Alicea earned the win for the Falcons allowing two earned runs with seven strike outs and four walks in five innings.
- Welch led the Canton bats going 2-for-3 with a walk.
- Elijah Perez went 4-for-4 with four runs and 4 RBI including a home run. Victor Torres and Jordan Gosselin both had three hits for the Falcons with Gosselin driving in four runs.

GAME 3 – BOX SCORE
- William Carpenter and Angel Rivera combined to give up just four hits and throw a shutout for the Falcons in the nightcap.
- Carpenter earned the win tossing six innings of three hit ball with 10 strike outs, while Rivera threw one inning of relief giving up just a single hit with two fanned batters and a walk.
- The Falcon bats scored five runs in the second, three in the fourth and two in the fifth for the win.
- Miner took the loss allowing four earned runs with a strike out and three walks in two innings.
