Potsdam, NY – Host Clarkson dominated play early on jumping out to a double-digit lead after the first quarter en route to a convincing win v. the SUNY Canton men's lacrosse team in the season opener for both teams on Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Clarkson scored five goals over the first five minutes of the game and led 10-0 after the opening quarter.
• The Golden Knights would add 11 more second quarter goals to lead 21-0 at intermission.
• Hunter Olsen got the Roos on the board with 3:38 left in the third quarter as the hosts earned the convincing victory.

 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Clarkson controlled shots on goal (41-5), ground balls (48-10) and face offs (23-8).
• Sam Servati made 14 saves in his first collegiate start taking the loss, while five goalies split time for the Knights with Jacob Mattice picking up the win.

The men's lacrosse team is back in action on Saturday when it visits Morrisville State at 1 p.m.
