Juztin Chambers-Phillips added 11 points but the SUNY Canton men's basketball team fell 70-58 to visiting Clarkson University on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Roos started things off well with an emphatic dunk from Fadil Atcha-Dedji just 21 seconds in. Canton opened up an early seven-point lead (12-5) after a pair of Chambers-Phillips free throws.
- The Golden Knights responded running off 14 straight points to open a 19-12 lead with 8:43 left in the opening half.
- Brennan Harmer stopped the run knocking down a left wing three-pointer. That helped spark a 17-2 run for the Roos including 14 consecutive Canton points. Michael Nunnally and Chambers-Phillips hit threes, while Atcha Dedji had another dunk. The hosts led 29-21 with 3:08 left in the half.
- Clarkson closed the half on a 7-1 run to get within 30-28 at intermission.
- Canton used a 9-0 run early in the second half that include trifectas from DuBois and DeMerrill Levy to open a seven-point advantage.
- The Roos led a majority of the first 13 minutes of the second half before an 11-0 Clarkson run broke open a 12-point lead as the Knights pulled away late.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- DuBois tallied game-highs in points (19) and rebounds (9), while Chambers-Phillips totaled 11 points and a team-high four assists. Nunnally tied a career-high with nine points and added four rebounds off the bench, while Levy and Harmer had five points each.
- Ryan Miles-Ferguson and Matteo Sinon led the Knights with 16 points apiece, while Garret Delaney and Jack Dalgety had 10 points each.
- The Clarkson bench outscored their Canton counterparts, 34-19.
