Canton, NY – Junior Gino DeBlasiss scored two goals and SUNY Canton came back twice to tie the game but host Rivier University scored in overtime to take game one of a back-to-back series 4-3.

HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
- The Raiders opened the scoring in the second period on a Zach Winslow power play goal.
- Later in the period, Rivier extended the lead to 2-0 when Avery Arnold scored another man-advantage goal.
- The Roos cut the lead in half when junior Gino DeBlasiis lit the lamp with his second goal of the year. Freshman Reilly McKinnon and senior Noah Robinson earned helpers on the goal.
- DeBlasiis tied the game early in the third period with McKinnon and Robinson again picking up the assists.
- Arnold's second of the evening put the Raiders back on top 3-2 but freshman Evan Pringle chipped in with his third goal of the year to knot things back up at three. Pringle's goal was assisted by senior Sam Martin.
- Nicolas Paolucci scored the game-winner in overtime for Rivier giving them a 4-3 OT win.Â
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- The Roos outshot the Raiders 38-35 but Rivier had the edge in faceoffs 39-32.
- SUNY Canton's power play was 0-3 on the night while the Raiders were 2-3.
- DeBlasiis and Pringle are now tied with sophomore Zac Sirota for the team lead with three goals each.
- Filip Schlyter made 31 saves for the Roos while Luke Newell finished the game with 35 for Rivier.
