- Location: Maxcy Ice Arena – Potsdam, NY

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Roos opened the scoring just 55 seconds into the contest. Shepard cleared the defensive zone to Jakobsson at mid ice. He played a quick pass to a cutting Jesse Farabee at the blue line as he beat Bears netminder Michael Paglucca high and made the water bottle pop for the 1-0 lead.
- The Bears knotted the game at one at 16:01 of the first period. Garrett McArthur took a shot from the top of the left circle that was saved by Pierce Diamond but Justin Geary put home the rebound out in front.
- Shots were even at 11 apiece and so was the scoreboard at 1-1 after 20 minutes.
- Canton doubled their lead at the 8:32 mark of the second period just after killing off a penalty. Jakobsson provided a strong forecheck for the Roos on the PK as he gathered the puck at the boards and found Jake Mayette with a pass near the left circle. Mayette dangled as Paglucca sprawled out and the senior backhanded a shot into the open net.
- Late in the second period the Roos skated 5-on-3 for 1 minute and 13 seconds. The Bears were able to kill off the first penalty but Canton converted with four seconds left on the 5-on-4. The Roos won the face off in their offensive zone. Sean Shepard swung the puck from left to right to Brady Morrison at the point. Morrison hit Sam Martin down low at the left circle as he rifled a low shot through the five-hole of Paglucca.
- The Roos outshot the Bears 12-5 in the second period and led 3-1 after two periods.
- Canton added to the scoring at 8:20 of the third frame scoring their first short handed goal of the season. Paglucca was looking to clear the puck to a skater behind his own net and Brendan Morrow picked off the pass circling in front and putting the puck into the wide open net for the 4-1 final.
