Jordan Knapp both went a perfect 3-for-3 in the nightcap but host SUNY Canton dropped a non-conference doubleheader to Clarkson University on Tuesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED

GAME 1 – BOX SCORE
- Both teams featured strong pitching to start as there was just one hit by either team over the first three innings.
- The Clarkson bats exploded for 14 runs on 10 hits in the fourth inning to earn the run-rule win in five innings.
- Jordan Knapp broke up the no-hitter for Clarkson in the fourth inning on a single down the left field line.
- Olivia Zoeller tossed a gem of a one hitter for the Knights striking out nine batters, while hitting one and walking one. With the win she improved to 10-1 on the season.
- Alaina Beane took the loss for the Roos surrendering 11 runs with two strike outs and four walks in 3.1 innings. Madison Austin threw the final 1.2 innings in relief surrendering three earned runs.

GAME 2 – BOX SCORE
- Clarkson jumped out to a 6-0 lead after four innings with one run each in the second and fourth innings and four more in the third. The Knights extended the lead to 7-0 with a run in the top of the fifth before the Roos responded with one in the bottom of the fifth.
- Madison Austin scored Bentley on an RBI ground out.
- The visitors added five more runs in the sixth and Canton tacked on two more in the bottom of the inning.
- Alaina Beane singled up the middle to move Kayla Chavarri over to third as she scored on an error by the center fielder. Bentley then singled through the left side to plate Shaylyn DeVito.
- Emily McBath earned the win for Clarkson giving up five hits with two strike outs in four innings. Riley Paige tossed two innings in relief surrendering one earned run.
- Chavarri took the loss for the Roos allowing 12 runs with four strike outs and two walks.

WHAT'S NEXT
The Roos are scheduled to return to North Atlantic Conference action on Saturday when they visit SUNY Cobleskill for a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.
