Cazenovia, NY – Samantha Dayter and
Erin Parks tied a game-high with four scores each, but three unanswered goals late lifted Cazenovia College past the SUNY Canton women's lacrosse team, 14-11, on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The teams exchanged a pair of goals early on before host Cazenovia rattled off four straight goals for a 6-2 lead. Erin Parks found the back of the net with just over a minute left in the opening half to get the Roos within 9-7 at intermission.
- Trailing 10-7, Parks scored back-to-back goals and Casey Pelton recorded fourth goal of the season to tie the game at 10 apiece midway through the second half. Cazenovia regained a one goal lead but Samantha Dayter found Lindsey Wunder with 7:30 remaining to tie the game once again.
- The Wildcats scored the final three goals of the game over the final 5:08 to secure the win.
- With the victory the Roos and Wildcats are tied at 1-1 in the NAC West with one conference game remaining on Thursday, April 22nd at Cazenovia.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Parks tied a game-high with four goals. Her four goals came on four shots at she had a 100 percent success rate. Dayter recorded a game-best six points on four goals and two assists to go with three ground balls and three draw controls.
- Piniewski's goal marked the first of her career on Saturday. Wunder tallied two goals and Pelton recorded a goal and assist. Stephanie Thayer chipped in with a pair of assists.
- Jordan Taylor paced Cazenovia with four goals, Callie Andolina recorded a hat trick and Angela Nuzzo finished with two goals and two assists. Sydney Allan and Madison Sciera registered two goals each.
- Madison Leary made 10 saves in goal for the Roos, while Amanda Drazek turned aside five shots for the Wildcats.
WHAT'S NEXT
The women's lacrosse team is back in action on Wednesday when they host Utica College in non-conference action at 4 p.m.
