Canton, NY – Matthew Headland tied the game at one early in the third period but visiting Stevenson University scored three unanswered goals to earn a 4-1 win v. the SUNY Canton men's hockey team on Saturday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The teams had six shots each in the opening period but neither offense could solve the opposing goaltender.
- Stevenson got on the board first at the 3:30 mark of the middle period on an Alex Rivet tally. Brendan Rylott and Austin Master were credited with assists on the play.
- The Roos drew even just 43 seconds into the third period with the teams skating 4-on-4. Headland and Brett Bannister skated into the offensive zone 2-on-1 and Headland ripped a shot top shelf blocker side to knot the game at one.
- The Mustangs regained the lead at 12:05 of the period on the power play with Rivet and Rylott picking up helpers on the play.
- Liam McCanney and Chad Watt added insurance goals at 13:08 and 17:03, respectively, for the 4-1 final.
