Center Valley, PA – The SUNY Canton women's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to host DeSales University (9-25, 9-25, 6-25) on the opening day of the DeSales University Quad on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The hosts used a 10-0 run in the first set to break open a 16-5 advantage on their way to a 25-19 win in the opener.
- The Bulldogs scored the first five points of the second stanza and opened an 18-3 advantage on their way to winning the second set, 25-9.
- DeSales cruised to a 21-4 lead on their way to a 25-6 third set win to finish off the sweep.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Michaella DeCapua led the Roos with a team-best seven digs and two assists. Peyton Nadeau chipped in four digs and one assist.
- DeCapua, Cadin Taggart and Sarah Balcom chipped in one kill apiece.
- Delanie Zohler paced DeSales with nine kills, while Caroline Garretson added six kills.
WHAT'S NEXT?
The Roos are back in action on the second day of the DeSales University Quad when they square off with Messiah College at 12 p.m. followed by a 2 p.m. tilt with Rowan University.
