Dawson Kerr is a graduating junior who is a pitcher and outfielder on the baseball team. This piece is part of a series of Q & A's with graduating spring student-athletes who saw their senior seasons cut short due to COVID-19.
 
Q: Why did you choose SUNY Canton?
A: I chose SUNY Canton because it was close to home, and I had an opportunity to play baseball.
 

Q: Favorite professor and why?
A: My favorite professor is Professor Spaulding. He always makes class enjoyable and is good at what he does.
 

Q: Favorite memory involving your sport at Canton?
A: When our baseball team came together during probably one of the hardest times, we all had to face, and caring for each other and others that were hurting as well. Also, when all the other teams at SUNY Canton supported our fallen teammate and made sure we honored him.  
 

Q: Favorite Non-Sports Memory?
A: Hanging out with Jeff Hyde in the library and goofing around.
 
 
Q: What will you miss most about SUNY Canton?
A: The close-knit friends and community it has on and off campus grounds.
 
 
Q: Degree you will be graduating with?
A: Associates in Criminal Justice.
 
 
Q: Future career/life plans?
A: Work for Customs and Border Patrol.
